Terms of Service

What Vetted is

Vetted is a self-assessment platform for developers. You use it to test your own skills — it is not a certification authority, employer-mandated test, or accredited credential. Scores and badges represent performance on AI-generated assessments and should be interpreted as self-improvement tools, not professional certifications.

Accounts

You can take assessments without an account, but results will only persist in your browser. Creating an account (via email or Google OAuth) enables persistent results, dashboards, badges, and paid features. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.

Behavioral monitoring

During assessments, Vetted monitors behavioral signals (tab switches, paste events, focus loss, typing patterns) to produce a Confidence score. By starting an assessment, you consent to this monitoring. The Confidence score is a probabilistic signal, not a definitive judgment — it may not account for accessibility tools, system interruptions, or other legitimate reasons for unusual behavior patterns.

Fair use

  • Do not attempt to manipulate or reverse-engineer the scoring system.
  • Do not automate assessments or submit answers via scripts or bots.
  • Do not share or redistribute AI-generated questions outside of the platform.
  • Do not abuse API endpoints to consume excessive resources.

Violation of these terms may result in account suspension or termination.

Paid subscriptions

Pro ($9/mo) and Teams ($99/seat/mo) subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. You can cancel anytime — access continues until the end of the billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

AI-generated content

Questions and evaluations are generated by AI (Google Gemini). While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors, ambiguities, or inconsistencies. Scores should be interpreted as approximate indicators of understanding, not absolute measurements.

Limitation of liability

Vetted is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee that scores will be accurate, that the service will be uninterrupted, or that AI evaluations will be free from error. Vetted is not liable for decisions made based on assessment results, including hiring, promotion, or educational decisions.

Account deletion

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from Settings. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
